Efficient
Dome shaped structures are very energy efficient. In some cases they will use only a quarter of the energy that a standard rectangular structure of the same size would use. 40% of the energy loss in conventional structures is around the thermal bridges where studs, floors, and roof meet the exterior walls. There are no thermal bridges in a reinforced concrete dome home which eliminates outside air penetration. Due to the lack of corners, domes are more conducive to the natural flow of interior convection currents to better maintain even temperatures throughout the structure thereby making it easier to heat and cool.
Safe
A dome is incredibly strong because it distributes forces equally in all directions throughout its entire surface.They are fire, water, and wind resistant, making them impervious to hurricanes, tornadoes, fires and other threatening natural disasters. Some of the oldest standing structures in the world utilize arch and dome designs. We could get all religious or metaphysical here, but circles are strong.
Easy To Maintain
A reinforced concrete dome is significantly easier to maintain than a regular building. There is no worry about roof repairs, wood rot, termite damage or any other sort of inconvenient and expensive maintenance required in conventional structures
Allow For Open Design
Domes have no roof structure. There are no weight bearing walls inside so the design options are many. The graceful arches, high ceilings, and round shapes are soothing and good for the soul.
Easier To Build
Building any kind of house is very hard work. However, our building method of reinforced concrete dome homes has made building your own home achievable for most people. The special skills and tools needed for conventional construction aren’t necessary using our building method. We will help you every step of the way and allow you to feel the joy and accomplishment of creating your own home.
